This was the highlight of our stay in Marrakech. We were with another British couple and our excellent tour guide, Rachid. The scenery was spectacular and lunch at the Berber house cooked by the lady of the house was excellent. She had set a table in the roof terrace which had wonderful views. We highly recommend this as a very memorable day out.

While on holiday in Marrakech my family and I decided on a day tour to the Atlas Mountains. We were picked up in Marrakech, by the guide that was going to be looking after us, his name was Ibrahim. He explained all about the trek and all the things that we would hopefully see, and about the amazing views, which i can say we didn't find disappointing. He made sure that during the trek we were all okay and if any time during the day we weren't happy just let him know and he would sort it. The service that we received was excellent at all times, the guide was perfect and made our walk well worth it. We came back with lots of memories and we would definitely do it again. If you want to see you beauty of Morrocco then the Atlas Mountains are a good way to do it. We could have had either one of four guides, but Ibrahim was the one that was designated to our group and we weren't disappointed but all of them seemed nice, so if you decide to go on a trek the four guides that you could be allocated with are Karim,Lahsan, Ibrahim and Rachid.

I would unequivocally recommend Day Trips Marrakech to anyone wishing to see more of what Morocco has to offer.
My wife and I did a one day tour with Ahmed and his team up to the Atlas Mountains, and it was fantastic. We did a lot of research into the tour operators working in the high Atlas region on price and reputation, and finally decided on Atlas and Marrakech. Their price is most competitive and we found it good value for money. Others quoting €160 for two people and not budging on price!

We were picked up at 0930 by Ahmed, founder of the company, in his ac jeep and taken first to where a women cooperative make Argan Oil. Very interesting, friendly ladies, no obligation to buy anything but we did. As our journey took us into Berber territory and we wound into the Atlas Mountains we asked to stop a couple of times for pictures and Ahmed welcomed this. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Customer happiness was his number one priority.
In Imlil we met our tour guide Rashid. What a legend. Great English speaking and very knowledgable. At this point we were asked how we would like to spend the day - how long trekking, with or without a mule? We decided for 2/3 hours trek with a mule to take the pressure off when we were feeling the burn! Lalu the mule and Ibrahim did a fine job too.
The scenery is epic. The Berber people the nicest we have met in Morocco. Everywhere clean. Weather sunny but not too hot. 38c in Marrakech, probably 22-25c in the mountains but with a breeze. A must do trip for a Morocco holiday.
Arrived back into Imlil for a tasty locally cooked lunch followed by a bit of a snooze in the late afternoon sun. Again we were then given options for the rest of the day. We decided to visit a non touristy town on the way back to Marrakech. Beautiful, friendly, non pushy people and an opportunity to buy local produce cheaper than Marrakech.
We finally got back to our Riad at 1930 after we'd stopped to buy bus tickets enroute. Again, Ahmed obliging our request.

One of the nicest things - is that for the whole day, money was not mentioned. We didn't pay for anything other than a souvenir. We stopped for drinks and snacks a number of times and always Ahmed paid. A true gentleman, and he even bought us a couple of keepsakes. He is a very genuine and friendly man, never stops smiling and who is not out to rip you off; but to better his company and reputation by giving you an exceptional experience in Morocco. I won't hesitate in using the company again in the future and wish him and his family all the best.

This was very easy to book. We booked this day trip from Marrakech the day before via email.
Fantastic day trip from Marrakech to the mountains with knowledgeable guide. lovely quiet small villages with children running around calling hello to us. A real look at the day to day life of Berbers with a guide who knows so much about the flora and fauna as well as life in the mountains.
We were picked up promptly at 9.00am from our Riad in Marrakech in a very comfortable jeep. Our guide, Idris, was very friendly and informative. We visited the local Berber market and lunch at a local Berber house was an experience not to be missed! Our stop at the Argan Oil Co-operative was good and a chance for a little retail therapy. A great day trip, amazing scenery. I would highly recommend this company.

Without doubt this is a excellent tour to go on. From mad Marrakech to the tranquil mountains. You will travel through the three valleys, all of which have varying scenery. Experience the different culture as you see how they live in the many mountain villages you pass through. The tour driver was excellent and would always stop for photos etc. Still be prepared to be sold something on these stops. The waterfall visit is very interesting as you mix with the locals but you must be fit as some climbing over rougher terrain is needed and good footwear is recommended. The meal at the Berbers house is amazing.
Superb table setting. Look out over mountain scenery while you enjoy excellent home cooked food. What more can you want ?

My friend and I booked a day trip with Daytripsfrommarraksh via email from our hotel in Marrakesh, and were very happy to find that they could accommodate us on such short notice. We had lots of questions and Ahmed was very patient in answering all of them which was great. the trip itself was very well organized - we were picked up at our hotel and driven to the Atlas mountains where we were met by our guide  Karim. We hiked up to Aroumd (2000m) and we are not experienced hikers, so Karim was great at taking his time with us and making sure we were ok and made it to the top in one piece. (it took around 1 hour to get to the top). the views from there are amazing!! we took a slight different route on the way down and ended up in a Berber village were we had some lunch - I still think it was the best Tagine we had anywhere in Morocco.
I can definitely recommend using Daytripsfrommarraksh.com , they can tailor the trip to your needs and what you want to see, and its very good value for money.

We booked online for the Atlas Mountains and Villages day trip from Marrakesh. The tour guide, Karim is absolutely fantastic (he speaks both English and French perfectly) picked us up from our hotel. We had a small group of 4 which made it perfect for activities like riding camels and going up to the waterfalls. We visited the three valleys and also specific Berber villages and our tour guide also arranged that we take lunch in a beautiful berber house somewhere up the mountain where the women cooked only for us. The entire experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Marrakesh. A lot of thanks to our tour guide who has also been Amazing!!!

This is a really fantastic tour of the Atlas Mountain Valleys. The guide was very friendly and informative. The scenery was breathtaking. The guide would make several stops so we could take photos. The hike to see the camel ride and waterfall was great my advice is to wear good hiking shoes or tennis shoes cause there are some slippery rocks but well worth the trek in my opinion. The highlight of the tour for me was the authentic Moroccan lunch made in a Berber house by a local Berber woman. It was fantastic. We sat at a table on the balcony (top of the house) with amazing views of the mountains. My 3 children ages 6, 8 and 11 also enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended!!

The trip was excellent. Our guide spoke very good English and was keen to show us all the sights. Our party consisted of 6 adults and we were taken in a comfortable 4 wheel drive vehicle. We visited the 3 valleys, climbed up to see the waterfall and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing scenery. The highlight was having lunch in a Berber house in the mountains, where we sat outside (admiring the great views) and ate wonderful fresh bread and tomato salsa, Moroccan tagines, couscous and melon - followed by mint tea. We all had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this trip.

A brilliant day trip from Marrakech to see the Atlas mountains. fantastic scenery and lovely people.
This was an amazing tour. Taking us out of the city and into the mountains. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The visit to a local home for mint tea was very special, and the lunch at the foot of the highest mountain very picturesque. Our favourite tour in Marrakech
